Welcome to Linku2! A fresh and exciting service supporting your local community.
Hi, I am Sarah Carr, Director and founder of Linku2. My passion is my local community and supporting local business, clubs, schools and groups and the economic well-being of working together in a local community.
My husband and I currently live on the Hibiscus Coast, a small and vibrant community and we love the place.
As a family we have always been immersed in all things local: running our businesses and our children participating in local clubs including soccer, athletics and tennis. I have always been involved in helping in local community events, such as our local Rotary Soap Box Derby. My children are almost all grown up but still active locally.
I originally come from Jersey, Channel Islands but have been in New Zealand now for 29 years! Wow, how time flies!
I started a local community support business (Hibiscuslink) after returning from a stint overseas, when I wanted to find good schools, facilities, activities for the kids all locally, but could not find a single good source of information. Because of this and my early experiences with Hibiscuslink and small local business from 2004 to 2017, Linku2 has developed to become a unique resource and marketing tool designed to help each local community, businesses and community services, to grow and thrive working together.
Our research shows that local people want to shop local. Why? Generally they trust local business more than big brands, they want to support local economy and often there is a better and more diverse choice - if you just know where to look! Plus with the price of petrol and our time poor lifestyles shopping local is simply easier!
Please enjoy using Linku2, I would love to hear from you with your thoughts and ideas, so feedback is always welcome. Thank you for supporting us to help your community to Go Local, Grow Local ...
